Tallinn University of Technology – TUT

TUT was founded on 17 September 1918. TUT, the only university of technology in Estonia, is committed to high level research and development in the broad fields of engineering, technology, science and management. Total number of students and personnel is 13,739 (October 2009) and 1,932 (January 2010) respectively.

Open to international cooperation TUT participates in several European Union programmes, is involved in international research and development agreements, and has acquired over a hundred individual research grants from different foundations and organisations.

Research work of the TUT Laboratory of Powder Metallurgy is predominantly focused on wear resistant materials, wear, corrosion and fatigue processes.
